Dr. Ming Zhao, Ph.D., L.Ac. is a Licensed Acupuncturist in the state of California and received her formal training at the Pacific College of Oriental Medicine. She practices integrative medicine with a systems-based focus on gut–brain–immune regulation, applying this framework to sleep disorders, anxiety, digestive and metabolic health, women’s health, and supportive care for individuals facing complex or chronic health conditions.
In addition to her clinical training in Traditional Chinese Medicine, Dr. Zhao holds a Ph.D. in Immunology and has over 20 years of experience in biomedical research focused on cancer therapy and immune regulation. This dual background allows her to thoughtfully integrate traditional healing approaches with modern scientific understanding, offering care that is both clinically grounded and individualized.
Dr. Zhao’s interest in Traditional Chinese Medicine began early in life, having grown up in a family environment where these principles were part of daily living. This background continues to inform her thoughtful, integrative approach to patient care today.
Dr. Zhao’s vision is to provide integrative care that supports the foundation of health and helps patients move toward greater balance, resilience, and long-term well-being. By thoughtfully integrating the strengths of Eastern and Western medicine, she is committed to providing care that is individualized, clinically grounded, and focused on whole-person healing.
