At Ming Integrative Health, adjunctive therapies such as cupping, moxibustion, and gua sha may be incorporated thoughtfully as part of an individualized integrative care plan. These traditional East Asian therapeutic techniques are used selectively to support circulation, tissue recovery, pain relief, and overall balance, always in coordination with your overall care.
Adjunctive therapies are not used routinely or automatically. When recommended, they are chosen based on your individual needs, comfort level, health goals, and clinical appropriateness. Care plans are adjusted over time based on how your body responds.
Cupping therapy uses gentle suction to encourage circulation and ease muscle tension. Temporary circular marks may appear and typically fade within a few days.
Moxibustion provides gentle warmth to specific areas of the body to support circulation and the body’s natural adaptive processes. Smokeless or low-smoke methods are used when appropriate.
Gua sha involves smooth, press-stroking of the skin to help reduce stiffness and support tissue recovery. Temporary redness or markings are expected and resolve naturally.
Your comfort and safety are always our priority. Each therapy is offered thoughtfully, with careful screening and open communication to ensure it feels appropriate and supportive for you.
